Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information I collect when you use this website or get in touch, what I do with it, and your rights. I try to keep it short and plain.

Who I am

I'm Megan Ormerod, trading as At Your Assistance. I'm the person responsible for looking after your personal information (known as the data controller). You can contact me at megan@yourassistance.online.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, I collect:

If you book a discovery call, Calendly collects the details you enter to make the booking, such as your name, email address and chosen time. I receive those details so I can speak with you.

If you email me directly, I keep your email address and what you tell me.

How I use it

I use your information to reply to your enquiry, to arrange and hold a discovery call, and to take steps toward working together if you ask me to. I don't use it for marketing and I don't sell it or share it for advertising.

My lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to people who contact me) and, where you ask about working together, taking steps at your request before a contract.

Who else handles it

I use a few services to run this website and receive enquiries. They process your information on my behalf:

Where information is sent outside the UK, I rely on the protections those providers put in place for international transfers. Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. If you follow the link to Calendly, it may set its own cookies on its own site.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries for as long as I need them to reply and follow up. If we don't end up working together, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If we do work together, I'll keep the information I need for the work and for my business and tax records, and I'll tell you what that is.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:

Email me at the address above and I'll respond as soon as I can, and within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top of this page.
